Day Chan

Day Chan was born in Hong Kong, 1980.  His family Immigrated to Staten Island in 1988 which was right around the golden years of hip hop.  In 2001 he visited the Pacific Northwest and fell in love with the lush rainforest, rich surrounding mountains, and calming waters of the Puget Sound.  Waving a big goodbye to New York, he moved here and has since found a place he feels at home.

Drawing is his first passion.  Paper and pencils were his best friends growing up.  A year after graduating from Cornish College of the Arts with a BFA in graphic design and emphasis in Illustration, he found pottery in 2007 and clay has taken over his world.  He is currently interested in astronomy.  Learning about space and stars is teaching him more about this feeling of home.
