Found Objects and Clay (Spring—6 Weeks)

$425.00

Mondays, April 14th-May 19th, 3pm-5:30pm

All objects have a story, even things disregarded as trash. In Found Objects and Clay, students will work with clay and found materials to create sculptural pieces interrogating the materiality of “the found.”

Whether it be in recycled textiles, skipping stones, or gathered branches, the objective of the class is to understand found objects as rich sources in artmaking, especially when used in tandem with clay.

Previous experience with clay is not necessary. Up to 14 students per class. Clay, glazes, and kiln firings are included. At no additional cost, students can also book one day of open studio per week, during which they can work independently.
